Rapid growth in the electronic components industry

According to statistical data from the Information Center of the China Electronic Components Industry Association on enterprises above designated size in the industry, in the past 20 years, various major economic indicators of electronic components in China have maintained a rapid growth trend.

In terms of product output, from 1988 to 2007, the output of electronic components increased from 18.505 billion units to 990.636 billion units. Over the past 20 years, the output increased by 52 times, with an average annual growth rate of 22.02%, achieving rapid growth. Among them, the specialties with fast growth rate include piezoelectric crystal (315 times), relay (61 times), resistance Potentiometer (60 times), capacitor (59 times).

According to the data in 2007, the output of resistance Potentiometer is 517.6 billion, accounting for 52.25% of the total output of components; 401.9 billion capacitors (40.57%); 21.4 billion inductors (accounting for 2.16%), and the production of the three major categories of passive components accounts for 94.98% of the total production of electronic components.

In terms of sales revenue, from 1988 to 2007, the sales revenue of electronic components increased from 9.533 billion yuan to 658.573 billion yuan. Over the past 20 years, the sales revenue increased 68 times, with an average growth rate of 23.59%, achieving rapid growth. Among them, the fastest growing majors include printed circuit boards (158 times), optoelectronic cables (143 times), micro and special motors (75 times), electrical plug-in components (61 times), and piezoelectric crystals (60 times).

According to data from 2007, the top three majors with sales revenue are: Optoelectronic cables with a total sales revenue of 160.1 billion yuan, accounting for 24.31% of the total component sales revenue; Printed circuit boards worth 120.5 billion yuan (18.30%); The plug-in components are 71.4 billion yuan (accounting for 10.84%).

In terms of achieving profits and taxes, from 1988 to 2007, the profits and taxes of electronic components increased from 1.562 billion yuan to 46.565 billion yuan. Over the past 20 years, the profits and taxes increased by 29 times, with an average growth rate of 18.50%, making a contribution to the national finance. Among them, the rapidly growing majors include printed circuit boards (104 times), optoelectronic cables (103 times), micro and special motors (48 times), electrical plug-in components (48 times), electroacoustic devices (25 times), and relays (10 times).

According to data from 2007, the majors that made significant contributions were: optoelectronic cables (11.126 billion yuan), printed circuits (8.183 billion yuan), electrical plug-in components (5.717 billion yuan), micro and special motors (3.623 billion yuan), and electroacoustic devices (2.354 billion yuan).

In terms of export earnings, from 1988 to 2007, the export earnings of electronic components increased from 110 million US dollars to 39.963 billion US dollars, an increase of 362 times in 20 years, with an average growth rate of 34.28%%, maintaining a high-speed growth trend. The total export value of electronic components from 1998 to 2007 was 177.617 billion US dollars, which is 8.79 times the total export value of electronic components from the previous 10 years (1988-1997) (201.98 billion US dollars).

Since 1992, when the export of electronic components exceeded US $1 billion, the majors with large export growth include: printed circuit (60 times), piezoelectric crystal (38 times), electroacoustic device (34 times), photoelectric cable (31 times), and resistance Potentiometer (20 times).

According to data from 2007, the top 5 majors in terms of foreign exchange earnings from exports are: printed circuit boards worth 9.57 billion US dollars, accounting for 23.94% of the total foreign exchange earnings from components; $6.163 billion in batteries (15.42%); 5.894 billion US dollars (14.75%) for electroacoustic devices; Optoelectronic cables worth 3.864 billion US dollars (accounting for 9.67%); Micro electric motors account for 3.218 billion US dollars (8.05%). Among them, the trade surplus of electroacoustic devices reached 3.949 billion US dollars, making a contribution to reducing the trade deficit in the component industry.

Has become a major producer and exporter

According to relevant data, the total production of electronic components in the world in 2007 was about 300 billion units, and China's total production of electronic components has ranked among the top in the world, accounting for approximately 33% of the total global production of electronic components.
